Is there really direct beach access?
Yes — without exception. Ciarans sits directly on Palolem’s sand. From your cottage veranda, you step onto the beach. No road, no path, no buffer. This is the rarest thing on the Goa coast, and the reason most of our guests return.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refund for cancellations more than 7 days before arrival. 50% refund for 3–7 days prior. No refund within 3 days. For special circumstances, contact us directly — we will always try to work with you.
Are there animals on the property?
Yes — Ciarans is home to friendly, well-loved dogs. Animal lovers will be happy here. If you have allergies or any concerns, please mention this when booking and we will make suitable arrangements for your comfort.
Do you offer airport transfers?
Yes. We arrange private transfers from Goa Airport (90 min) and Canacona Station (10 min). Please share your travel details when booking. Airport transfer is complimentary for 7+ night stays.
Is Ciarans suitable for families?
Very much so. Palolem is one of South Goa’s calmest and safest beaches for children. Our staff are experienced with families. The Portuguese Villa suites (Phase 2) will be ideal for families seeking more space. Please share children’s ages when enquiring.
Can we host a celebration or event?
Yes. Intimate celebrations, anniversary dinners, small groups, and private beach events can all be arranged. We don’t host large weddings or corporate events — our scale is better suited to meaningful, personal occasions. Contact us with details.
When is the best time to visit?
October to March is peak season — dry, sunny, sea at its calmest, the full dining and experience programme available. June to September brings the monsoon: dramatic, lush, and beautiful in a completely different way. Ciarans is open year-round.
Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes — complimentary throughout the property. That said, we gently encourage you to use it less than you think you will. The sea, the sand, and the sound of the shack at sunset are considerably more interesting than anything on a screen.
